Program Manager

Kaoruko Daito is the Event Coordinator of Guardians of the Heart. She first learned about the heart from a physiological perspective during biology class and finds interest in its inability to regenerate before damage. As she self-researches about the organ, she recognizes the lethality of cardiovascular diseases but also the ability for some to be preventable by lifestyle changes. Today, driven by her advocacy for CVD prevention and a big believer in a healthy lifestyle, she contributes to this organization to further spread CVD awareness and prevention methods in youth. She finds her role rewarding as well, as she gains new insight into heart health from the community, professionals, and individuals. During her free time, she enjoys art, volleyball, volunteering, and cooking.
